James Cabler

Certified by the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Federal District Court of the Middle District of Florida as a Civil Court Mediator.

Mr. Cabler has experience in mediating personal injury, nursing home, medical malpractice, employment law, commercial, banking, and construction litigation.

Mr. Cabler has mediated more than 8,000 cases.

LEGAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Cabler practiced law in Broward County, Florida, representing Plaintiffs and Defendants from 1960 – 1974. Mr. Cabler practiced in Western North Carolina from 1974 – 1984 as a Partner in the firm of Coward, Cabler, Sossomon & Hicks.

Mr. Cabler served as a Municipal Judge for the City of Oakland Park, Florida from 1967 – 1974. He was the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Mountain Federal Savings and Loan, Highlands, North Carolina.

Virginia Bar (Retired), The Florida Bar (Retired), The North Carolina Bar, Volusia and Flagler County Bar Associations. Former President of Broward County Municipal Judges Association, from 1971 – 1972. Founding Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Attorneys (Retired). Mr. Cabler is Co-Founder of Mediate First, Inc., a group of attorneys and former judges providing mediators to the courts of the United States, State of Florida and business groups specializing in personal injury, legal and medical malpractice, banking, construction and business litigation.
