Background

Mr. DeFreitas has over 36 years of experience in the civil litigation/claims arena. He has worked in claims for State Farm Insurance company in Silver Spring, Maryland and for Progressive Insurance Company in Orlando. Additionally, he has worked in the Nationwide Insurance Company in house counsel office in Orlando defending cases in trial.

Louis has tried well over 100 cases to verdict as a plaintiff’s attorney working at the former Best and Anderson plaintiff’s law firm for 8 years and then for the Morgan and Morgan Firm for 17 years where he was a shareholder. He has represented clients in cases involving personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, products liability, insurance disputes/bad faith and first party insurance disputes.

Mr. DeFreitas has gained valuable experience as a litigator and problem solver and looks forward to using his skills, knowledge and experience as a mediator.
He is Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
